Have you always wanted to learn to swim, or just improve your strokes? Our excellent swimming teachers are at hand for both adults and children. Our amazing qualified teachers can help you gain love and respect for the water. Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied in the water by an adult. Children age 14 – 16 must be supervised from the viewing area.
Please note that children must vacate the pool by 7 pm. We hope you enjoy a leisurely swim while being mindful of safety protocols.

Make a splash in 2025 with Club Vitae Portlaoise’s Group Swim Lessons! Our 8-week term runs from 7th January to 1st March, offering tailored classes to suit every age and skill level. Whether your child is just starting their swimming journey or refining their strokes, we have the perfect lesson for them.
Lesson Times and Levels
All lessons are 30 minutes long, except for Coaching, which is an extended 45-minute session to fine-tune skills for competitive swimmers.

Aqua aerobics classes and other swimming lessons are hugely popular here at Club Vitae Portlaoise. We run morning & evening classes on Monday, Wednesday & Thursdays. These classes are complementary to our pool members. You can also bring a friend along for €7.
At Club Vitae Portlaoise, we have separate ladies & gents changing rooms & also a dedicated family room with disabled access. We provide lockers for your use, you can bring your own lock or purchase one at our reception desk. We also provide use of locks for hotel guests. Swimming hats must be worn while in the main pool, if you forget yours, we have some for sale here for €2.50 each.
There are a variety of memberships to choose from, all including free ample parking & special rates with Body & Soul therapy rooms.
